Studying the buying behavior of customers has always been of interest to retailers. In order to carry out the latest analyses, the team of experts first had to develop the necessary data basis. To do this, they examined the existing databases and coordinated the data structures for an overall analysis.
The approach developed by the team of experts on the basis of smart data methods enabled automated analysis of the transaction data. This opens up completely new possibilities for the development of new activities compared to the previous rather manual approach. Furthermore, the SDSC-BW sensitized the DEHA group to the topic of data quality, so that in the future it can set itself up in a more data-oriented manner to facilitate further analyses and be able to carry them out independently.
